Our Guiding Values

Worship at Trinity with Pastor Mike

Our purpose is to be a visible demonstration of the Kingdom of God by living under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.  This means that Jesus Christ and His Word are at the center of our lives and comes first in all we say and do.  He is the final authority over us as the Head of the church and we seek to follow His direction for every step of our lives.  We practically demonstrate the Kingdom as follows:

  • We believe that the anointed teaching of the Bible as the guide and standard for Christian life is the catalyst for transformation in individuals' lives and in the church.
  • We believe that worship is not just an activity, but a way of life, that best reflects our central purpose, which is to glorify God, experience His presence, and live in intimate relationship with Him.
  • We believe that lost people matter to God, and therefore, ought to matter to the church.  We shall intentionally seek them out and share the Good News.
  • We believe that authentic Biblical community should be characterized by relational transparency and integrity, unconditional love, and continuous growth, and that it is best experienced in small groups.
  • We believe that the church should operate as a unified community of servants stewarding their spiritual gifts; that all of God's people are called to be ministers of God; and that the church is called to give away the best that we have.
  • We believe that the church should be led by the Holy Spirit in all areas and that we welcome the presence and activity of the Holy Spirit in all functions.
  • We believe that excellence honors God and inspires people.
  • We believe that the church, in all of its ministries, is to be culturally relevant and doctrinally pure.  Therefore, the church is open to change, and take risks as led by the Holy Spirit.
  • We believe that the church should be led by men and women with leadership gifts and that are full of the Spirit.
  • We believe that the pursuit of full devotion to Christ and His cause is normal for every believer.
