The Lord Can Even Heal Your Finances!Posted in Finances on March 10, 2012 by Mike Janes Last year I got a job at the Department of Human Services. Everything was in foreclosure and processed last summer. In December my husband got his notification that he was getting Social Security Disability. A few weeks later the Social Security office called and said that he could fill out an application for our daughter to receive Social Security benefits as well. I got my tax return. It was $5,500. We still have $3,000 to come from back pay from Social Security. In the beginning of February I went online to pay my mortgage payment and found out I had a $833 credit that came from our mortgage being refinanced last year. My mortgage payment is $500 per month. We paid off almost every collection debt we have. When my husband gets his back pay for Social Security, we can have everything paid off! Michelle Stepping StonePosted in Finances on March 01, 2011 by Mike Janes Over this past year I inherited a decent amount of money. I wondered "What am I was going to do with this?" This past July, I had a really decent job at Lowes and God told me to walk away from it. God told me He was going to provide for me. The Lord told me he had ministry work for me to do. My wife and I were living decently, but the money began to dry up a few months ago. I questioned God hoping He had a plan. God reassured me He would provide. At one time our bank account was all zeros with a house payment due. I had just bought my truck less than a year ago and I thought maybe my uncle would buy it back. I paid $1000 for it. Maybe I could get it back and pay him back when I get my tax return. When I approached my uncle, he offered to give me $2000 for the truck. I reminded him that I’d only paid $1000. He knew this, but insisted on giving me $2000 plus he told me to keep driving the truck as he didn’t have room in his driveway for it. Great! Eventually that $2000 was gone as well. I felt I needed to step up the job search. I went to an employment agency and they initially had a job for me, but the guy who was leaving that position changed his mind so the position wasn’t available. More opportunities would come and go. Finally I got a call and I’m to start tomorrow, but God reminded me that this is a stepping stone and I’m not to get too comfortable because He’s not done with the ministry thing yet. Until then, I’ll have a bank account again. Praise God, He continues to provide without fail. Chris God's Faithfulness in FinancesPosted in Finances on December 02, 2010 by Mike Janes I have taken care of my mother for the past several years. Because she had health problems and needed more care, I moved her in with me and went from working full time to part time at my job. A few months ago she fell and broke her pelvis and arm and is now residing in a nursing home, a good move under the circumstances. Due to her moving, my income decreased by over 50%. After wading through much paperwork and dealing with insurance, etc., it was determined that I owed an accruing bill of several thousand dollars. I have prayed myself and also had others praying for finances to cover this bill. Last week when I went to the nursing home, the lady in billing mentioned that due to a mistake on their part, the past due amount for several thousand dollars was erased off the books and the bill was completely paid up!!!! With God NOTHING shall be impossible. He can make a way where there seems to be no way!!!! Praise God!!!! Mary Jo |
